Genuine Carved Ironwood Whale with Ironwood Base. Whale head and body is feature-less with only the curved tail showing definition. Sculpture is a modern, sleek design, art deco style, probably dating from 1970’s.
Approximately 8″ Long, 2 1/2″ Wide, 3 1/2″ Tall; Base is tear-drop shaped and is 3″ by 1 3/4″.
Whale is carved from a single piece of ironwood.  Base is also carved a a single piece of ironwood and is attached to the body by a single screw inside sculpture.
Base pivots and can be moved to different angles.
Bottom of base has original tags and reads, “WHALE W/BASE”, also partially readable is the name of the original store/manufacturer “. . .RO’s” and what reads clearly, Philippines.
